This event, which starts at around 9:15am and runs until around 11am, honors veterans and includes live music, a keynote address, civilian and military guest speakers, and a parade. It is free to attend the Memorial Day Ceremony.

For guests who wish to visit the World War I Museum afterward, it opens directly following the ceremony and stays open until 5pm as it is on summer hours. Children are admitted for $6, while adults can enter for $12 and seniors and students for $10.

There are a large number of permanent exhibits at the museum. Objects, weapons, animated battle maps, interactive tables, and heavy machines like tanks are all on display in a number of galleries that take visitors through the history of the war as well as different political, economical, geographical, and national factors of importance.

There are also special exhibits to see, such as a special gallery discussing the importance of sports during war time, and a spotlight gallery that presents rare objects and discusses their historical significance.

There always seems to be one overlooked detail that creates more headaches and stress.

Real estate experts at Zillow recommend doing your homework before putting your house on the market or even buying a house to greatly reduce the amount of time squabbling over details and delaying the process.

Follow every detail of the commitment letter and have your affairs in order before closing. Changing jobs mid-deal or not getting homeowner’s insurance before the closing will only delay the process.

Know your closing costs – While the lender is supposed to provide you with a HUD settlement form itemizing all the closing costs, it often doesn’t happen. Download a free HUD-1 form to avoid any surprises.

Keys – When you’re selling or buying a home there are many details to take into account. Communicating with your agent and the seller about expectations at the time of closing will prevent mishaps.

These are just a few tips to ensure your home closes smoothly when you’re buying or selling a home in Kansas City.

Any Kansas City resident that are trying to sell their home should contact Kristin Malfer & Associates today to get the best aid and advice available anywhere.

This is a great sign for home owners who have been holding onto their houses for longer than desired, and it is also signally that potential home buyers need to move now, before market prices begin to increase. In February 2012, the Missouri real estate shows that total numbers sold climbed over 18 percent in just a single month, which is a rather staggering number. On top of this, the numbers are over 30 percent better than the same time last year. Of course, the record low 3.89 percent interest rate on mortgage is also a reason as to why individuals are buying homes at improved rates than in previous months.

With the mortgage rates still low, spring looks to be an exciting time for the Missouri real estate market, as spring is often a time of the year where more individuals shop around for houses, as the weather is better for getting around to look at the locations, plus it is warmer to move, making it more comfortable than other seasons.

We love Kansas City and the area around it, so we have never been surprised by how much there is to do in the city. We’re glad that it’s getting some of the attention it deserves, even if it is on a list for underrated cities in the United States. Kansas City came in fourth, which just goes to show that we’re something of an unknown treasure to the rest of the country.

The list makes it a point to pinpoint some of the best aspects of the city. These are just a few of our many perks:

Arabia Steamboat Museum

Negro Leagues Baseball Museum

American Jazz Museum

Schlitterbahn Vacation Village

This list does an excellent job keeping people aware of what they should do when they have free time on the weekend or they are coming to visit. We do especially love that they acknowledge the amount of fountains and how great our pedestrian-friendly boulevards are. Even we didn’t know that Kansas City boasts the claim of having the most fountains of any city other than Rome. Maybe it’s time to make some room during the weekend to roam around town and appreciate the fountains a little more? If you decide to do that as well, bring a camera and show some of your pictures with us in the comments section below!
